Diwali Story

Mrs McKay bought some Indian sweets to school.  Yuvi and Anjali gave them to Room 2 because it was Diwali.
They looked yummy and tasty.
We all sat in a circle.  Mrs McKay cut them up so everyone could try some.
We felt excited.  We were ready to eat.

Everyone took a piece.  Kayla didn’t like the taste of hers!

Evan thinks they tasted nice.  Troy liked all of them.

Kees spat his out on the floor (he is only a baby).

Mia liked all of them except the yellow ones with the silver bit on them.

Kayla liked that one the best!

We tried some more.  Hector liked the brown one.  Evan liked the chewy one.  Troy’s tooth fell out when he was eating his one.
We shared some sweets with our families when they came to pick us up.
Wendy showed us her Indian henna tattoo on her hand.  It was brown Indian patterns.

Diwali was fun.
