Rainbow weaving

This is the weaving we made to celebrate Maori Language week.  We learned the colours of the rainbow in Te Reo and made some fabulous artwork.

Room 2 learnt how to write explanations today.

Hector copied the title (how to run cross country) then INDEPENDENTLY sounded out all the other words for his story! Wow Hector it's awesome!

My Dad

The Apples reading group read a story called 'My Dad'. We drew what our dads like to do.

We sang the Nga Tae song and coloured in Uenuku - rainbows.

Fried Bread for Matariki


Billie came to school to help Room 2 and 3 make Maori bread to celebrate Matariki.

It was delicious and it was fun to eat Kai together.
