Rainbow weaving

This is the weaving we made to celebrate Maori Language week.  We learned the colours of the rainbow in Te Reo and made some fabulous artwork.

Hector's Explanation

Room 2 learnt how to write explanations today.

Hector copied the title (how to run cross country) then INDEPENDENTLY sounded out all the other words for his story! Wow Hector it's awesome!

My Dad

The Apples reading group read a story called 'My Dad'. We drew what our dads like to do.

Te Reo rainbows

We learned the colours in Maori.

We sang the Nga Tae song and coloured in Uenuku - rainbows.

Koru art

Here we are dying our koru art. The koru represent our whanau members.

Maori Language Week

Tania came in today and helped us learn some Te Reo. We sang some songs and read some stories. Here is Tania reading us Kei hea a Spot - Where's Spot.

Fried Bread for Matariki

Billie came to school to help Room 2 and 3 make Maori bread to celebrate Matariki.
